hydro sunday

today the hyrdro planes were all over lake washington, and the air show was awesome to watch or so i am told( i know the air show was cause i watched the blue angels flying through the sky doing their amazing stunts. although they were wonderful i still love the thunderbirds instead,(although my family is mostly navy, have 3 nephews and a bil in the navy) we live in a airforce town, so guess thats why. anyways i watched the blue angels, i slept all day and missed most of the hydros. oh well i am not that great a fan anyways. today was cooler and still sunshining, my garden is growing like crazy. my one tomato plant is over 6 feet tall and the others are close to it. i have 14 tomato plants. i know i love tomatos though, and will probably freeze some for soups and stuff for winter. my beans are growing like crazy too, which makes me happy as i was soooooo late in getting them all in. didn't get anything planted until the end of june, and am normally planted by may 15th or so. oh well is fun anyways although the weeds seem to be growing at the same rate as the plants :0 i think this fall after i put mulch down will cover the garden area with plastic and let it sit all winter that way. the mulch will break down much faster, and will be mostly weed free in the spring.

am making another shawl of course i really need to move on to something else, but am just hooked on these and think i will give them to my sisters and friends for christmas and also am thinking about doing a craft bazaar this fall. i need to make other things though although have probably 30 purses almost done, need to line them and put the zippers in or buttons or whatever i am going to use on each one LOL. my kitten itsy was so funny today, she likes to curl up on our lawn swing our kids bought us last year for our 25th anniversary. and while we put a sheet on so that she don't get her muddy little paws on it, she always finds a way to get under the sheet and then gets trapped or so she pretends. son was laughing so hard tonight cause he could see she was trying to get out and howling away, so he went out there and out she popped right up, so she was playing possum with him hehehehe. speaking of possums, last night there was the biggest darn possum i ever saw in my life, talked to my neighbor and he said it is a mama possum and she is pregnant, wonder how he knows that. and he also said that he is going to start trapping the raccoons and take them out to the fort and release them. i was wrong the mama raccoon has 5 cubs not 4. i was like aaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwww. 5 ickkkkkkk!!!! and since he releases them i am fine with that. hubby filled a big tub of water up for them as they are always tipping the cats water bowls over, and itsy decided to try and climb up and see it. and she fell in lol boy was she mad, and when i laughed at her she started meowing so pitiful LOl. poor little itsy . here is a couple of pictures of ehr one where she is "teaching coast a lesson" lol hope ya all have a wonderful week hugggggs
