hey

hi ya all, omgosh i did it i actually did it 2 days in a row i posted rotfl .... just kidding , don't have a ton to say but did want to wish everyone a awesome weekend. not sure what we are going to be doing. hubby wants to go to leavenworth washington for the oktoberfest they have there every year. one little problem, i don't have enough meds to cover making the extra trip. but on the other hand and its good news, its still going on NEXT weekend when i WIll have my meds. i hate scheduling my life around my meds, it sucks, i wish that someone would invent a way to stop the pain i have in my life 24/7. kk enough of the pity me thing lol today i baked chocolate chip/pecan cookies, they are almost gone already grrrrrrrr. my family when i do bake seem to snatch it up faster than i can bake it. and i also while deciding to be suzy homemaker, i made some awesome if i do say so myself, biscuits. yummmmy. they too are almost gone, since we had soup and sandwhiches for dinner( i was lazy lol) they tasted good,

now on to crochet. i am excited to say i only have 2 yes thats right 2 more helmet liners to make then i will have the 50 i wanted. i had some help from 3 other people and i thank you guys from the bottom of myheart. i myself have made 41 of these hats and in all told will have made 43. i wanted to make 50 myself, but am just to pooped to do it and need to send them off next week. am sending to donna, buggaboosmommy, her hubby is deployed and we are sending to his squad this year. last year my helmet liners went to iraq and kuwait, this year they are going to afghanistan. along with other goodies we are collecting. i need to make a trip to costco and get some fruit leather since they can have those, also have some hot chocolate, although maybe not enough, dang it will have to buy more oh well lol also am trying to collect the small things like mouth wash and other things that the military does not supply. if any of you would like to help let me know and i can direct you to donna and her e-mail(need to ask her first lol) otherwise i can send them to her too if ya all want to help. we are also trying to get 25 5.00 cards for burgerking and add to their baskets, they can use those on base and get some good old fashioned american junk food lol seriously anything anyone wants to do would be greatly appreciated. if you need to have reciets for the goodies not a problem, we know that alot of others have stolen and scammed us, this is the real thing trust me. if ya know donna from the ville or else where you can e-mail her and she will show you your proof, i need to get my package together and send to her so she can resend it all off to the troops.


for them i want to say, thank you for doing what you are doing, if we did not have our brave men and women in the united states military we would be in a bad way, this country is free because of the blood and sweat and tears of those who give their all. so i salute you all.


i was so glad when i saw the packages i had sent got to their intended places, hope that it helps for all of those who got them. i sent off a package to my secret pal but not telling where its from, hehe, you all will have to guess hehehehe, inside i packed it with tons of goodies. i have to send my reveal package next week too, i am not happy yet with what i have gotten for my sp. so shopping i will go hehehehehehehehe, also will be sending my winter scarf off to my partner this next week. i love doing swaps, its fun and i get to spoil others, with goodies only they would love.

tonight thought about what i am going to make for christmas this year, so far dd is the only one i have picked to get the hand made goodies,. today i told her that this year was going to be rather lean, normally we go all out with gifts, but this year the money is very tight and i told her i was going to be making most of her gifts, she smiled her big smile and said awesome mom, i LOVE what you make me, wow what a great feeling i had then. i talked with my friend fran and we chatted about designs that i am thinking about, fran knows a good pattern for ya. i value her friendship alot.

its funny how many people i have met online that have become such good friends, i wish i could afford to travel to all of their homes and visit with them all, unfortenetly that won't ever happen, oh well i can dream right?lol


shadow tonight was sooooooooo loving. he kept hugging me and kissing me tonight when i put him to bed, i feel so bad that he has to live in that cage, granted its a huge cage, but its still a cage, but shadow is the one at fault as he will not leave coast alone and trys his best to beat him up, survival of the fittest, he wants to be the alpha male, not happeneing this time lol


well am off to bed, back hurts bad tonight from all of that baking. gosh wonder what i will do when i need to get things done for christmas. ya know once upon a days ago i use to bake and bake and bake all month long , sometimes starting in late november and then freezing them until time for christmas,


i am curious as to what you all do for christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate. for christmas this year, i have alot of things to get done. i'm goin to make dd a quilt with penquins(its fleece and super easy to make) and then got a cute butterfly patterned fleece panel, along with solids for the back. not sure with son, he really has no need to have blankets, he still has the one i made when he was little awwwwww makes mom feel special lol. i know he wants a game for his ps2, but since his bday is next mo will probably get him that. he has a awesome collection going of disney ornaments from halmark, they sing and make music ect. all interactive. so will probably buy him something along that line.

for hubby am so not sure, every year he says why not just not get each other anything, but i am wise to his game as when i had not for our 25th anniversary, and he tricked me and bought my diamond ring, although i guess in some way i tricked him too cause i bought the bbq for both of us. it should have lasted alot longer than now as it is wearing out, 2 years is not very long for something that cost as much as that thing, granted we use it alot, but i still think it should work. longer. oh well live and learn.

and find ideas abound, to my dear friends i thank you for your kindness and caring when i whine about my back, i know it happened a long while ago, but some days it just gets to me, i am finding that if i sit and settle down with my legs up, i get some relief.


i am enjoying sewing again after a long while away from it. i think for my lil sis i am going to make her a fleece blanket too and also mil, she needs something that is not so long and fits her better, the ones she has now, seem to hang on the ground from her wheel chair.. speaking of, she seems much happier now since she has been taking the anti depressents. she even told me the other day that she was so happy. that makes me feel so much better, she is so cute, for my 50th b-day she gaveme a card with 2 1.00 bills in it, then when fil was out of the room she handed me over a much larger bill. hehe, in which i bought myself(with frans help thank you dear) a bejewled crochet hook, you can see it here http://www.craftdesigns4you.com/crochethook/bejewelledhooks906.htm its the bejeweled lemon lime frog size G how sweet is that.
