hi everyone this weekend was fun, i had to work in the morning doing the warm up america, stayed a couple of hours then left as hubby and i had plans and since i did not get payed i figured the 2 hours i spent besides the squares i had made was enough.we went out to lunch at a place called harmons it is a resturaunt/brewpub. they have excellent food there and not really too expensive.

this is the link if you would like to check it out. we enjoyed ourselves and stayed for a bit. also went to a place called e-9 is a old firehouse turned into a resteraunt/pub, is a cool place also. after we were out and about for a while my son called and said mom and dad could you please come home now. i said sure whats up, he said very sneeky like, nothing just would like you home. so we got home to find that he had grilled steaks and made fries and salad for dinner. was a nice suprise to a good day. today i crocheted for a while am working on a afghan for work, something which is not the greatest thrill in my life, but i enjoy my job so had better make a effort to getting it done lol, is going to a pretty one although am only making it lapghan size, will be perfect for curling up in a chair and either crocheting or reading on a nasty winter day. speaking of which it is pouring down rain here, also the wind has kicked up, just a really nasty night out, my dd is out and about as usual. last night she had gone to a halloween party and she did something i am very proud of. when she got to the party she met up with friends who had been there for a while, well after speaking with them for a bit she decided to mingle a bit and was soon stuck talking to someone who she did not know,nor did the party host know this person. she tried to avoid the couple as they appeard to be drunk which my dd does not do, she soon was stuck behind this person and was kind of feeling trapped so she pushed her way through and told the hostess she was leaving, the girl having the party said i don't blame you, it had gotten way out of hand, well she left and went to some other friends house and watched movies for a while, as she was coming home she saw that the place where the party had been at had gotten so far out of hand that the police were called, but she avoided all the problems of it by leaving, this is something i have talked to her about endlessly, and is nice to know she listened. i sure don't mind her having a good time and knowing she is level headed enough to leave a place that was out of hand made my night last night and today still., tomorrow is halloween we use to dress up for the time when we handed the candy out, but lately we don't although son has a darth vader costume so might have him go to the door if we even get any trick or treaters. but if we do i am ready although tomorrow will go to costco as i need to get some rice crispy snacks. i hand those out along with the candy and the kids love them.
i so can not believe it is going to be november in 2 days, i need to seriously think about what it is i am going to make and buy for christmas, we got our names on crochetville for the winter swap list, i have a lady who i have never talked to, sure would like to though, and the lady who has my name e-mailed me and we have chatted a few times. this is the first swap i have done, and am looking forward to it. also want to get some things for friends who have a wish list?raok, i am going to be sending out a few this month. i love to do it, but alas the postage is killer, i really would love to send to others in europe , but would cost me a arm and leg i know. but after the 1st of the year i probably will send something to a good friend in england and maybe one in sweden. but no promises as to when LOL. money is tight as i know it is for many. this time of year i wish i was rich, i would make so many peoples lives happy. as i would adopt families who have little or none, it breaks my heart to think that a child never das a little lovey stuffed animal. i think i am going to make some more little animals for the red cross and also the police and fire departments here,. so little time to do things so little money and so much to do LOL, i hope ya all have a wonderful week and stay safe if ya are out there tomorrow night with your little trick or treaters. till tomorrow my wonderful friends HUGGGGGS
