sundays fun

today hubby and i went out just messing around. we went to theauto parts store(his choice ick, but like i said his choice) then we went to big lots, so was unimpressed by them, then we went to a specialty store called trader joes which is in a community about 25 minutes away. we bought a few things to try that were different, i so enjoy trying new things, don't you? then we went and watched the air show again today. omg those guys can fly, i am talking about the airforce thunderbirds. man i wish i could do the things they did, the solo flew so low we could see the pilot, was awesome. i am sad to see them leave the base, nowing that it will probably a year or more before they come back here for another show. since i have been able to spend a bit more time with hubby things has gotten a bit better. we still have a lot of issues to work out, but for the first time i feel it is doable.
i also need your help in how to get rid of the raccoons. last night they were all up on my back porch and poor little itsy was trapped. so i opened the door and scooped her up so she would be safe poor baby girl. i hope they don't come abck tonight. i am a little leary with the mama raccoon. she is pretty fierce. think i will ask my neighbor if he is going to trap them and let them go out on the reservation.which is the best thing for them. being around people is not good for them. i so don't like the little bandits. hehehehe, well till next time hope ya all have a great week. hugggggs vicki

i had a nice day

hi, today i enjoyed myself alot. hubby and i went to the farmers market down in the little town of puyallup(well not so little, about 80,000 people live there lol) but is small compared to where i live. i so loved walking around looking at the things that were for sale, and besides the obvious fruits and veggie i found a lot of cool stuff, even saw a few knitted ponchos but no crochet anything. hmmmm am thinking maybe a career there for me, so am going to check out and see what the cost is for next year, if it isn;t bad then i might do it.
after we left there we went to gi joes looking for car mats for my car and found some that said ford, but they were black and my interior is tan. so no go :(, after that we went to a place called the ram which has awesome food and good drinks too. hubby had a couple of beers and i had some of the rams homemade rootbear. i must tell you, this is good stuff so had 2 of them hehehe, the french dip was so good and as it wasn't overly expensive (9.99) and that encompased a sandwhich is almost 4 in high. and a huge plate of french fries. of which i made hubby eat hehehe, we then went our to mc cord air field to the air show they are putting on today and tomorrow. the united states airforce in all its glory. we saw the awesome "thunderbirds" which i must tell you impressed even me with their awesome flying abilitys, plus i am a bit prejeduce as i am crazy about my thunderbird hehehehehe. today also i was gifted by a crochetville elf, she so rockes, sent me so many goodies, a sheep tea cozy, and little handmade sheep, a chocolate bar which i ate all by myself lol. and a new book and a book "thong" is what i would call it. a postcard from arizona and also a wonderful hand made card which i adore. is so awesome. this elf rocked and made my day. thanks fiona. hehehehe.
then tonight we bbq'd porkchops, with havana lime marinade
and i must tell you was so good and tender could cut with a fork, also made red and golden potatoes with parsley, chives and banana and ginger sweet peppers. omg were they good lol. then we spent the night just hanging out. watched a old movie 1941, with john bulushi,dan ackroyd john candy and several other older stars, was hilarious. laughed myself silly hehehehe.
itsy today was so funny. hubby had filled up a bucket of water for the raccoons as they seem to always mess with the cats water, she was playing with it splashing around and almost fell in. we looked at her and said itsy your silly, at which time she came bounding out of nowhere to come jump on my lap and give me a kiss kiss(ickkkkk) but she loves to kiss kiss. so am off to bed as soon as dd gets home(she better head home soon. hugggggs till tomorrow then hugggggs

raccoons

last night as i was getting stuff ready to go to bed, i heard this loud rucus, i looked outside with my flashlight and trusty baseball bat. and saw a mama raccoon and 4 babies on my back porch where my kittys baby and itsy were. i am not sure what they were after other than maybe worms or something in my flower pots, but i can tell you i was not a happy person. here is this HUGE mother raccoon hissing and growling at me cause i interupted her feeding time in my flower pots. my flowers were being torn out left and right, and i was pissed. i finally was able to get them to leave by taking the hose on my sink(ya know the one that sprays stuff) and opening the window and spraying them, which took a while and made a huge mess. i wish i could have gotten a picture cause it was a sorry sight. my kittys were fine thank goodness, but i can tell you, itsy won't be going up to a raccoon anytime soon again i wouldn't think. darn pesky things. and if ya think i live in the boonies, your wrong.i live in the burbs in a community of almost 100,000 people. lol these aren't my raccoons but here is a picture so you can see what i mean. lol till later huggggs

vacation

just to let ya all know, this friday hubby starts a month long vacation (ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh), so might not be posting regulary, don't mean i don't miss ya all cause i do, but is that time of year to go out and see the world, at least someplace different than my backyard ROTFL am hoping to take this time for hubby and myself to sit and talk about things. we been married along time, and seems like we have drifted apart. so want to try and get things back on a even keel. for those of you who need to get ahold of me for anything, ya all have my e-mail anyways lol. hope you summer is going good. mine so far isn't but am hoping to change it hehehe anyways thats all for now. take care and HUGGGGGGGS

someone likes my birdy

today i was at costco in my birdy(t-bird) as i needed some things and since the bird has ac and it was hot today 85 degrees, i said phooey i am driving her. anyways when i came out i saw this young man and a younger girl standing by my car, i thought hmmmm what are they doing, so i just continued to walk towards the car watching the whole time, as i approached the car, i heard the young man say to a older female, mom, thats the car i want. it is so nice he says. mom goes over and looks at it and says yes it is a nice car, but to expensive, besides is probably a v-8, he says no mom is probably a v-6. at this time i walked up to the car and shut my alarm off and said. nope is a v-8, the kid started asking me all these questions about the car and the paint(is metalic pearl white) needless to say, he offered to by my bird, i was like whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? he said he really wants to buy it and he has money saved up ect., i tried to tell him my little ladybird is not for sale. he was disappointed i think LOL. the very idea of selling my bird., NEVER!!!! hugsss

my birdy is back

today i was able to pick up my t-bird, she was in for some painting touch ups(she needed a little tcl), on the other hand my day sucked, went to my primary doc and he was able to change my pain meds, the bad thing is, they don;t seem to work as good, but i know i need to give it time. anyways when i had gotten home, checked the answering machine and there was a message for me from my orthopedic doc. he has been giving me my pain meds monthly and without a problem, until recently, he has been squawking about giving them to me, even knowing i have permenant nerve damage do to the fact that my spine had collapsed and was like that for over 2 years. needless to say my stress level has been out of this world recently. been battling with hubby too, you would think after being together as a couple for 33 years we would be use to each other and things would run smooth. not, i am hoping it is a phase he is going through.

i finished another couple of shawls. the first one is made out of lustersheen, and is peach, very pretty, then have also finished the one i made out of the joanns rainbow sensations boucle' i love that yarn is so cool. well until tomorrow hugggs

happy anniversary to me

today is my 26th anniversary, not sure what we are going to do, i guess after all these years don't really matter. we might wait until hubby goes on vacation next month and we might just have a few days to ourselves. we sure do need it. things have been kind of rough lately, can only get better. hope ya all have a wonderful day and that for those of you who are in places that are so hot, that you get some relief, is not bad here, in the 70's and rainy. well that did make it kind of muggy today, but has cooled off alot.friday went shopping and was baddddddddddd...... i stopped at joanns(a bad thing to do) and well needless to say, spent most of my paycheck there. i think it is a conspirisy, my boss kept saying fill that cart up, told him, give me a raise and i can LOL. what i bought was some of the joanns sensations rainbow boucle' in red, pink, orange and green. next week will go and get the other colors if they are still there. want to suprise someone with some of it hehehehe.am thinking might make a shawl with the fusia color(pink) or maybe the red hmmm decisions decisions, which one should i make first LOL. well till tomorrow(will let ya know if we did anything fun) huggggs

i'm feeling blue

for some reason i am feeling rather blue tonight. maybe because i know that summer is over half way through and have not enjoyed it one bit,. this month has been a very bad one and i will be glad when it is august what am i saying, my hubby has the whole month of august off. the whole freaking month. i can tell you, by the time he goes back to work i am exhausted. seems like instead of things getting better as we get older, they get more frustrating. on one note, i did work in my craft room today and was able to send out 3 big boxes of yarn for people doing charity projects(they paid postage). but am so far not even a fourth of the way through, and since my yarn and what not has spread to the family room, the garage, my bedroom, well you al get the idea, it is amust, but makes me sad and blue. this saturday will be 26 years my hubby and i have been married, and seems like it was yesterday when we were young and in love and now we are getting old and cranky. (at least i am)lol, well i guess ya cant go back. till tomorrow then hugggggs

wendsdays woes LOL

well today was off to a good start. NOT , as i got out of bed this morning, i stepped wrong again with my left leg and ankle, and twisted it again. the things keep piling up, i need a vacation lol well hope your day is going better than mine, hugggs

has anyone ever had a whole month when bad things happened/

cause i can tell you, so far this month has done nothing but cause me problems. will be so glad when it is over. only a little over a week to go well almost 2 weeks darn it LOL hope your days are better than mine. i think i need a vacation . today when i went to work, boss says now we can not have classes with less that 4 people in it. i was like WHY? i have lost so much money because of that stupid rule. so am looking for another job, as i can see this one going south reallllly fast. well hope your day is better than mine and mine gets better too. here is a picture of itsy again LOL she is growing, and eats like a piggy. hehehehehehehehe

yarn camp was fun

yesterday was the last day of our little camp, i enjoyed getting to know these lovely children. and the most wonderful thing for me is that they all learned to crochet, even the 7 year old who i wondered about, she did better than all of the others. we finished most of our projects, but i must say, the people who think these things up, must not have children as they gave them wayyyy to much to do, so yesterday, all of them wanted to make their flipflops with the funfur, so we did that and also made flowers for them to wear aroung their neck, after that we went on a parade around the store, which the girls clearly loved showing their things off and most of the people were very sweet when they showed them their items. i made each one a hair scrunchie as a little suprise from me. and also gave the dimplomas saying they had "graduated from yarn camp" looking forward to next year now. lol, now this week need to get my house in shape, it is looking a little sad for wear, but since i only have a couple appointments this week should be able to get it all done. hope you all are having a wonderful weekend. i know i am enjoying it

i was gifted 2 times this last week. once by a elf in florida who sent m2 wonderful postcards and once by a elf in texas who made me the most adorable teapot potholder(and since i collect anything teapot fell in love with it right away) she also sent me several post cards from texas and also some lovely cammo yarn for my solier hats. was she done ya say nope, she also sent me a wonderful book that has crocheted fairys in teacups which i so can not wait to try. again to all the elves in crochetville, your the best, tell santa ya want a raise. hehehehe, hugs to all

my 2nd day of class

well today went a little better than yesterday and the students actually finished some projects. we made necklaces by doing finger crochet and adding beads, and also all three girls finished their bookmarks. boy i can tell you it has been a long time since i have dealt with children and their energy level amazes me., i feel so worn out after 2 hours, guess i must be getting old lol but on the whole i think the class did well today. we shall see what tomorrow brings. is one little girls birthday so must remember to wish her a happy birthday. until tomorrow then hugs

my class went well today

had my first class today of my kids camp students. i have 3 students who are ages 7,8 and 9 repectivly, the 9 year old had it down fast, the 8 year old a little slower but still got it, the 7 year old was so frustrated that she started crying, i told her it was alright and then since the 2 others girls were doing so well, i worked with the 7 year old one on one. took her a bit longer, but you could see when it clicked and she finally understood how to do the sc. then she was off and running. tomorrow we will be working on a tote bag and also maybe a sun glass case. will fill ya in tomorrow. wish me luck lol hugs to all

i need a vacation,

well as a result of the incidents on the 1st of july when we had our gas leak, i when i stepped in that hole, not only pulled the muscle, i tore it and also the tendon, doctor said should be alright in a few weeks. a few weeks? dang, what i keep doing to myself LOL, have been busy crocheting up a storm though. am almost done with a purse and belt set i am making my darling daughter for christmas,(she thinks it is for her cousin and is jealous and wants one or so she says hehehehehehe) and another thing i have been doing is making little animals which i will post as soon as said daughter uploads them on the computer for me, you ask, vicki, why can't you do it yourself, well i shall tell you, is said daughters camera and she don't let mama touch it in any way shape or form LOL, but she promises to do it soon for those of you waiting., also have been making a lot of squares for comfortghans and was able to send out 21 to someone for a special little boy who has cancer and does not have long to live(breaks my heart) so as i say prayers for the little boy, i made him some squares too so that he could enjoy his little blanket as something that will give him some comfort. am also making another little sarong as said daughter snagged that one too. am making that in lustersheen, oh i love that stuff, how did i ever get along without it. and lst but not least have been able to grant several wishes in the crochetville christmas in july. to those of you who got what i sent you. so glad you like it, for those whos stuff is coming,(hey i can not help how slow the post office is) i hope ya all like your stuff. well i am off to bed as tomorrow i get to teach the children at our kids camp at joanns where i work as a croceht instructor, hmmm again what did i get myself into LOL. take care and have a wonderful week, stay safe and warm and most importantly to those of you who live in the south east. stay dry as hurricane dennis comes through and belts ya all. hugs to all of ya and hope to hear from ya soon. oh here is a picture of my itsy kitten, her name is itsybitsyspidercat

happy 4th of july

hi just wanted to wish all of you a wonderful 4th of july. this weekend other than friday has been pretty good, we bbq'd hamburgers yesterday(2nd) and tonight we made pork roast on the rotisaray, OMG was it wonderful, just melted in your mouth. i am of course still hobbling around being made fun of by my family for being a ninny in the first place and stepping wrong, (but hey who would stop to think i would do this) i was more worried about the house blowing up than anything LOL, sooooooo tomorrow or actually later today, i will have a house full and since i am laid up, (hmmmm maybe not such a bad thing after all LOL hehehehehe) hubby and kids are going to have to do everything. so far we have almost 30 people coming(ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh) but is suppose to be nice so everyone can play badmitten and also shoot basketballs as we have a basket ball court in our back yard. about 9 years ago, we had that put in , and has been the best thing money could ever buy. i now where my kids are most of the time, their friends come and enjoy themselves(and call me mom) so is a nice thing. anyways YOU guys all have a wonderful 4th of july, as your sitting down to whatever you have decided to have for dinner be in a bbq or whatever, please say a prayer for our brave toops who are away from their familys fighting so that we may remain free from terrorist. i say to you all THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL hugs

i did it now :(

today when hubby was doing some yard work, heard a hissing noise coming from the natural gas main, he looked at it and came in running saying call 9-11 we got a bad leak, so i called the fire department(oh my gosh those guys are fast) and then went over to warn the neighbors as their house is close to ours(about 16 feet is all apart) and when i stepped off their porch to go back to my yard, i must have stepped wrong as i did something to my leg, it is all swollen and can't put any pressure on it, the paramedics looked at it when their were here for the leak and said i messed it up good as far as they could tell. wanted to take me to hospital, i was like ummmm guys i need to be here to deal with this gas leak and they said alright, but to wrap it and ice it and elevate it which i have been doing, but omg is it sore. maybe tomorrow will be better. hubby is worried as he thinks i might have torn a muscle as it is all bruised, in which case they will pull it back where it needs to be then cast my leg (huh?????) so am hoping it is just a sprain. anyways may not be on for a couple of days as it is hard for me to sit at the computer as my leg needs to be elevated. so i hope ya all have a wonderful 4th of july if ya celebrate it, i know some of you are not american or live elsewhere, like karen, hey girl i will have a hotdog for ya LOL everyone take care and HUGS have a safe and happy celebration of our nations birthday.
