what a weekend

some days things happen to you when you least expect them too, was one of those weekends, well on sunday was hubby and my 27th anniversary and the i am not sure if i told anyone, but our kids had a little get together planned for us for our anniversary. almost every single year since my son has been about 8 years old, he and his sister(he does the majority of it) throws us a anniversary party. well maybe party is not the main word as he had plans for his dad and i and his grand parents and sis and himself, , well saturday we were given our timeline we needed to stick to so it would all be a suprise , so got ready and we took off and went to hang out and do something until 6 pm,(it was 11 am,) first place we stopped was a fireplace n grill shop, well we found some parts to our hibachi, the original green egg,( man can yo cook on those babys!!!) well the day passed, and we stopped for lunch at a place called E/9and its name is exactly what it use to be, a old fire station, well i asked to see a
menu as i was hungry and i ordered a french dip sandwhich, i finally got food and found it had mold on the bread, ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, so i waited and waited for the girl to come back, no girl so i finally got up and walked up front and told them about it, they were all oh i am sorry i can make you a new one really fast, by this time i am gettin dizzy from not eating and nauseated. well it finally came and i ate it after caefully checking the bread. we finished the meal and i said to hubby, lets go, we went to another pub that had ac in it , killing even more time, well then we started for home, as it was close enough, well as we were headed home,son calls and tellsme you and dad can come home anytime, nana and grandpa aen;t coming, i knew my mil was going to pull this crap, so i told hubby we needed to go there and find out what the heck was her problem, well as we are trying o drive there our speedometer went all wonky and the car just sort of went bad, no juice nothing so we pulled into his parents house i told him, hon is the alternator. he is like no way, guess what it was lol alternator and is bein fixed as i type, well tomorrow that is. but its in the shop now, well we stopped at inlaws house and i asked her why she did not want to come, she just said she was to tired, so i told ehr that she was being selfish as i knew not anything major, just her mood, i told her that she needed to get out, andmore importantly fil did, so i pretty much bullied her into coming. well of course we all had a great time, the kids bought us a awesome patio set . just beautiful, so i finally was happy for that day. move forward to next day, we had a great time the night before and sunday as i was enjoying myself and i wanted to get some fresh water, only to turn and tripped landed flat on my knee and back, i hurts so bad don't hadly want to stand on it. oh well i guess its better than it being on my back where the other part of me fell, anyways we had a nice time, but it sure was a adventure and not one that,i would want to have happen often lol . now to throw that rug out reminds i need to do that lol what a weekend huh? LOL

ack what a hard hard day i had

today was one of those days, you just pray gets over as fast as possible, ever had one of those? i did today. started when i woke up late, then i went out and took shadow for a walk, well then after wards i tied his leash to the hose (we have been doing it now for 4 days and it worked just fine) well today while i was cleaning house, i looked outside and i about had a heart attack, i could see shadow was not on his chair, and the hose was no where to be seen. so i raced out there to see where he was, and i saw he had slipped out of his harness, and was running free, i was like oh crud, and called and called him, shadow was no way going to come to me, he was enjoying his freedom. one might ask, why do we have the cat on a harness and leash, well its like this. shadow is new to our house and the other 3 kittys are being so mean to him, they either shun him or they hiss at him, and he is such a gentle soul, when they hiss at him, he crys
he hates they don't like him. finally i coaxed him out of the bamboo with a can of food, and as soon as he came forward to eat, i snagged him and put him back on the leash, any suggestions peeps on how to get the others to accept him, he is a nuetered male and is about 2 years . and the 3 others are baby age 11 years, coast, age 4 years old siamese, and of course itsy, the young one. who is full of herself, but is also a sweet heart
they all are in their own way i guess lol.
anyways that was part of it, then i hurt my back trying to get the garden weeded.and can hardy move at all tonight. the weather is getting warmer and i wish i had ac, and then lets see what else can i complain about in my vent hehehehe. just kidding, but i did have one of "those" days lol. god bless all.

i also finished a shawl i am sending to a young lady named katie who currently is batteling cancer and i told her aunt i would do my best to help her, and so i made her a shawl so she can wrap herself in it with hugs from me each time she does.



i also was able to chat with some friends online tonight, enjoyed chatting with fran and also priscilla. donna went awol on me. lol, just kidding, she was talking with her hubby who is stationed somewhere in the middle east. is nice she can talk with him now
i posted a few things on the forum tonight and i am at this moment uploading some pics


it is suppose to be in the mid 90;s and of course i can't find a ac anywhere. oh well can always use my car lol,

i did it again lol

i started out today with the best intentions of getting my dining room cleaned out of my craft stuff(yes still LOL) and while i was able to go through 3 more boxes of yarns and start another get rid of bag, or 2 or 3 actually, i really didn't get done what i wanted to. hubby is all well you know if its not done when i start vacation thats what i will be doing., brat trying to blackmail me cause he knows i really want to go somewhere and do SOMETHING THIS YEAR that i will work like a little doggy to get it done so we don't have to spend our whole vacation dealing with my craft room, and while it was hard to get rid of i did get rid of a lot of the yarn and thread, course it about killed me but hey what can i do. its either the yarn and thread or my vacation, and we all know i can buy more yarn afterwards bawahaaaahaaaa lol, also i am giving the yarn and thread to some special ladies who while they are not rich in any form are very nice and kind people who do a lot for charity. i was able to help them with supplies. so in some small way i was helping too , i love to help people and have had a great feeling doing this for others. you all know the saying
what goes around comes around. and some day i will get mine rewards for helping, although really i get them every time i see someone smile. that is all the rewards i want.


today was interesting to say the least. i took shadow out of his cage in the garage and proceeded to put his leash and harness on(seems wierd having a cat wear a harness and a leash) and mr. shadow was raring to go so i opened the garage door and let him out, first thing he does, is head directly towards the gate , i then clicked him to the patio door , and went in the cage and cleaned his liter box up, so then he was ready to go, only one small wee problem, seems shadow had decided to use it again
oh well is not a big dealrovided
the bad thing about taking care of shadow this way, is he needs to adapt to the area much an we are doing our best, but i still worry aout him. if anyone has any ideas as for how we can we can take care of him, not really take care of as more like prevent him from leaving the yard. well enough of shadow and his silliness this weekend is a good guys nationals for the old old cars, and he normally goes with our daughter but since she will be in seattle going to a concert seeing the horror pops and the reverand horton heat should you get the chance to go see him do you will laugh yourself silly lol so guess its up to good old mom to go to the show with him, provided my back stops illing me i have to climb in the cage for shadows liter box and i so thats part of why it hurts so bad i am sure. well am off to bed providing dd gets her rear in gear and comes home or at least texts me to tell me she has her keys which she seldome takes them so signing off here before i fall asleep and leave you all wondering where i went to lol good night to all god bless and keep ya in his care. huggggggs love ya all peeps

yipeeeee i know my sp

today i recieved a package in the mail from non other than my secret pal shella85222, her real name is michela tapia and she rocks you guys. this girl spiled me ROTTEN, i have been so blessed in my life to have had her be my secret pal, its kind of funny too, cause last sp the spring one, i had her name how cool is that

this darling girl made me not one not 2 but 3 more doilies, this on top of the prettiest blue doily she made me and sent in the first package. she sent me 3 awesome packages, and in this last one, not just the doilies, but also she knows my weakness for tea pots, and bought me the cutest ones i have ever seen. one is a little car teapot, one is a iron teapot, one is a telephone teapot and one is a small normal shaped teapot, she also sent to me the cutest little picture frame that is shaped like a teapot, also she sent me 2 darling little frog figurines as she knows i collect frogs, also a little cross stitch kit with what else a frog on it, she also sent me 3 balls of thread. and 3 annies crochet magazines and a crochet digest magazine non of which i have issues of(these are back issues wooohooo), and she also sent me 2 booklets with shawls and ponchos , and the directions on how to make them. what a special friend she is., she has spoiled me rotten and i am very thankful and blessed to have had her have my name. we often don't pamper ourselves the way one should as the kids are forever demanding something(yes even grown up children do this) so i once again say to michella, thank you sweetie from the bottom of my heart hugggggs to you

my itsy is missing

my lil kitty itsy is missing, its just not like her to take off and not come when i call, she has been kind of upset since we brought shadow home but today she actually went right up to him and rubbed her nose on his saying hello, i am just worried sick, it makes no sense for her to dissapear without a trace. am hoping that she is just sleeping somewhere, i don;t think i can bear it if i lost another fur baby. she is the sweetest little girl. today i sat on the lawn swing with her and she wwas so content, purring and kneading for me all over , just a sweet little bambina.


i am so tired tonight, its been a long few days well i guess its been a week since shadow came to visit us. i am sorry to whine when people have a legitimate problems.


am working on a pretty blue shawl; made out of a pretty ladder tyo=pe ribbon yarn. will post a pic when done with it.


am off to check for itsy again, please pray that itsy comes home safe or if you don't believe in prayer, then send her some good thoughts and i will keep you all updated when she comes back
note i said when she comes back, if its the middle of the night will post tomorrow, am off to look for miss stinker puss. i swear kitty she is giving me a heart attack. hugs

I Was raoked yesterday, what a great suprise it was, i had had a hard day and when i got home and found that waiting. all i can say was i was so thrilled, dd and her bf were here and i opened it and said loudly wooooohoooo, lol, they thought that was funny but then when dd saw what it was, she was so excited for me knowing that someone out there cared enough to think of me and send me something so special, i again thank you from the bottom of my heart, i will never forget you what you have done. hugs

happy 4th of july

hey ya all, wanted to post really quick and wish you a happy freedom day. at least thats how i look at it lol.

today was crazy, started out by going out to pay my bills, half way to the po got a phone call from hubby. shadow is sick again, so i dropped what i was doing, which was buying grocerys for the party tomorrow, and came home, got the carrier
and went down to work and got him. had to take him to the animal er as my vet was packed and had no openings,

well shadow has another absess, and is still w



aiting for the doctor to do surgery on him, they have to give him some meds and help him sleep and go in and clean the wound out. now the really awful part. the money it is going to cost me lol. i wish we could really afford pet ins. shadow now will cost me a grand total so far of almost 1100.00, gasp faint send me to the bank lol, but what is money when it comes to someone or thing you love. this cat is crazy about my hubby and hubby is crazy about him, he loves him sooooo much, what else could i do, , my hubby is having a really hard time coping with alot of things right now. he wantsretire and he so hacn r to carry prescription service and the ones which do, will not carry mine, what am i suppose to do about that?
i need a hug or 2 or 3 guys lol

back to the 4th

half of my company called tonight, and told me, after i went to all the trouble of getting everything ready for all of my guests, well now they can't come, so what am i suppose to do with all the food my son picked up for me, guess i will freeze it, also we thought mil and fil was coming, now who knows
and everyone is so stressed and depressed, i just can't understand why things happen like they do, one thing after another. just a pain in the battttotttte


anyways dear friends now my rant is over., uptil another thing gets my goat,

hey ya all

hi been a while since i blogged, been so darn busy can;'t believe how fast the days go by, i have been working on some new designs and also taking care of my mil, she has some serious health issues that were not being addressed , but i got fil back on track lol, also been cleaning my craft room out, almost done with it, still have a bit of stuff in the living /dining area, but it will be taken care of tomorrow since hubby will sit there and say i told ya so. men phooey :-( lol, i been making belts and started a new purse, its a pretty shade of blue in bernat boucle'. all nubby and soft , but yet sturdy. i think i should probably line it though anyways.

i also was blessed enough to find some awesome cammo yarn,. my joanns has started carrying the bernat desert cammo and i got a few skeins to make some hats for the troops. i was talking with buggaboosmommy(donna) about it and she told me how different colors are only permitted for certain times, so while i can make the cammo yarn ones for the troops, they can not wear them when they are off duty i guess and sleeping, so will also make totally black ones as she told me this would be acceptable. thank you donna for the info sweetie. so my new goal is not the 20 hats i had vowed to make, its now 40, 20 in cammo and 20 in black so that the service member can have 2 to wear. i am sending them through donnas hubby and i know he will ,make sure they are given out right.

today was a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnng day, course since i had to go to the north end of tacoma to pay my cable bill, i just sort of had to sneak over to artco, where i was tempted oh so tempted by 1.00 skeins of yarn. bought a few and also got myself this beautiful purple cotton which normally sold for 16.95, for around 3.49 or so, what a deal huh? so i had to of course get myself enough for a shawl lol, all told i was pretty good, i deserved it aftr all the crud this last month , right concious? lol


well 2 weeks to go on the spring secret pal swap, lori is doing a great job maintaining the swap, its not easy work, especially when there is always going to be some who bow out and then people who swap in good faith, get left out, i hate that and have in past helped change that and would again in a heartbeat.

my poor fur babies, idiots around here have been popping fireworks all day and all night. my oldest girl named baby, she is so stressed, she just slinks around the yard, i finally got her to go in the cat house(our rec room), is a safe haven for them and am glad she went in there. itsy of course did whatever big sis did, she follows her around like she is the queen, course sometimes itsy has to chase the queen, and baby lets her know it is not acceptable at all lol. coast , he just lays under my car with his ears back,. ya know i don't mind fireworks on the 4th, i can make arrengments for my fur babies to be safe in either the rec room or the garage, either keeps them calm, but how can i be out there 24/7, stupid heifers if ya ask me, maybe someone should blow some up near their ears and see if that changes things.


i feel so darn bad for all the fur babies every where. we have alot of stray kittys who hang out next door and sneak over her to here to grab a bite to eat. lately i have just been putting some food on seperate for this one beautiful cat, we call white paws as yes you guessed it, he has white paws. i think he might be itsy's daddy as he has been here watching over her since she came to us, yet he will not let me pick him up or even feed him. so just leave food out for the poor thing and hope it gets it and not the raccoon. mr rocky raccoon has his nerve, he pushed my sun flower plant over and dug around in it, until there is hardly any dirt left for the poor thing. i did not plant it, its a spin off out of the sun flowers. think i will actually be able to harvest anything from it? oh and another thing. them blasted crows, have pulled out almost all of my bush beans that i had planted, they(the plants) were up over 3 1/2 inches and now they are all dead now except for a small area, anyone have any ideas/ anything hon, will gladly accept any information to help control those pests. i hate when aomwething i have worked so hard on, is ruined, you don't know how hard it was for me to plant the beans. so now instead of them being ready, come july 15th , but instead should i be able to get them in tomorrow(depends on my back). so please wish me luck. i put some wind spinners around the garden area, but the crows are not afraid of anthing darn them. the rest of the beans which are pole beans, and so far so good, although it has a wire fence to climb,. well will only hope that all is well with it and that i get some veggies out of all of my hard work. lol, well am off to crochet a bit before i head for bed. is late and need to get off so will takema break from this computer , my eyes are tired. for all of you who will celebrate the 4th of july, the birth of our great nation, please take a moment and think about how your able to do what you want, when you want and with who you want with(well within reason of course) and say a quick prayer or think a good thought and thank a vetran. or one of our many service members who are either active or in the reserves(they are active now lol) anyways thin about why we can do the things we have done and how their many sacrices and that includes the familys theyleave behind as they head out to protect us from the enemy. i for one salute you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart. god bless all of you and god bless our wonderful service members and the united states of america. thank god for the right to be free, its not a given any more, blood shed and tears happens every day so that this world becomes less evil and more good. thank you all of you, hope ya have a nice 4th of july, keep it safe and sane and please try and watch the kiddies, this time of year, there is someone who will lose a finger or a hand , or even worse their lives. take care and chat with ya all later hugsss to ya all. hehe
