my monday

well today was my hubbys last day of vacation and we spent it like most of the rest of the month cleaning house. i did make lunch out on the grill, and tonight made spagettie with red sauce. was so good. also made some italian herb bread. was so yummmmmmmmy. well the month went by fast. to fast as it usually does. the problem i am having is the fact that the weather has changed and with it my pain has increased. in fact today was quite bad again. doc said to keep track so will and let him know how i am feeling.
tonight chatted with princess trish on aim, was awesome she is a sweetie. i so enjoyed myself tonight talking with her.
i also made another poncho and am about half way done with another one. omgosh the ideas are just flowing from my brain. i have so many ideas and am working on getting the voices out of my head which say sc dc. sp ect LOL. just kidding. but seriously i dream about some of my patterns/ it turned out so great, and am making another one in the same design as i wanted to see how it would look with better yarns. for the first one i used caron bubblegum one pounder worsted weight. turned out beautiful.. this time am making it out of the sensations rainbow boucle' in denim blues. so pretty. i will probably also make another shawl with this yarn as it is so big a skein of yarn. defiently worth the money. need to send trish's suprise out and also annes. made them both something special. and hope they enjoy them alot. also am making another purse, more ornaments and baby things for donna(yarn tomato) i want to make and send her some awesome stuff LOL i need to go to joanns and take my purse in to work and also get some more yarn to make baby tomato some presents. am not saying in case donna is reading this lol hehehehe, i was not a good girl last night though. but today when i looked at the amount i spent was so not bad at all. i need to have something new after a while. after all!!!!!!!!!
omgosh today i picked this huge tomato out of my garden. was over 16 inches around, will take a pic tomorrow and hope to get it posted tomorrow also. was beautiful i love tomatoes hehehehehehe!!!! also picked another bowl of beans. gosh i am picking them faster than we can eat them so tomorrow am going to blanch them and freeze some of them. will taste wonderful in dec or jan lol. also think i am going to buy some more beans and freeze them along with corn on the cob. we all love it so much so am getting as much put in the freezer as i can.the tomatoes i can freeze and use in soups and sauces too. well till tomorrow my friends. i hope those of you who are in the path of that monster hurricane are all safe and sound. batten down the hatches for sure with this one. huggggggs to alll vicki

am i sad or happy?

well tomorrow is hubbys last day of vacation. in some ways am sad that it is, because he seemed to relax during his time off, and i know once he goes back to work he is going to be all stressed out, and since we have had some problems lately i hope he does not revert to his old grumpy self. i try to not be grumpy, i try to be cheerful, i try to be happy, but i can tell you, being around a grouch makes you one LOL. on another note, i did get a tremendous amount of crocheting done. my purses turned out so cute don't ya think? and of course i love that yarn i have been using to make the ponchos and shawls. i hope that joanns comes out with some other colors, as i have all of these already LOl. i just bought some wonderful yarn off of e-bay, i am sorry tandy i broe my yarn diet, i was weak i admit it loL, but is not a bad deal and will just stay away from the local yarn stores lol.
today we had a major change in weather. it started out nice and sunny and warm, then it changed and we became cloudy, then it rained yes rain, which i hate, as it makes me hurt. my back has been pretty good with the new meds, but this weather is bad for me. i must need to become a snowbird and travel to warmer climates during the winter LoL well i hope you all have had a great summer. mine has been both bad and good, but seems to be getting better at least i hope it will continue and become a better month in sept. to all of my friends i say hugggggggggggggs

hubby and i enjoyed his last friday before he goes back to work, he has monday off, but will not do anything as he will have to go to bed early as he leaves for work in the wee hours of the morning LOL, we grilled again today. made the onion and garlic pork loin on the rotiserary. was soooo good, had red potatos and beets and corn for the rest of the meal. tonight hubby and i sat outside until after 1 am just listening to music and enjoying each others company. when we were gone today, my purse handle broke so i told my sweetie that i was going to make myself another purse and thats just what i did.m its my own design and is red/white/and blue. very patriotic LOL i lined it also so am good to go now, will transfer everything tomorrow as i am to beat tonight. am also making another little bag, but is more of a evening bag, which i am making out of joanns sensations catelina yarn. that yarn is awesome,. is like a chenille and ribbon yarn all together. i decided to make some more purses as i think they will sell and am getting kind of tired of making shawls and ponchos one right after another one lol.well this vacation has been interesting, we didn't do alot of stuff, but we had fun and believe it or not, i think i am going to miss my hubby not being around. i know i am crazy lol, but hey guys we been married a longgggg time. 26 years LOL finished the purse for work and dd was suppose to take it with her today so my boss could hang it up, but of course she forgot it and now tomorrow i will have to run it out there as dd is not working tomorrow she says yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!
omgosh tonight itsy was so funny,as we were sitting outside hubby heard a rustling sound coming from inside the rec room where the kitties sleep, well little itsy had snuck back in there and hid from coast, problem was that she hid so good, all we could see was this little black furry face poking up from this box that had a ton of stuff in it, was hilarous, and everytime she saw one of us come into the room she would hide again. she is so much fun i am so glad she came into our lives. well am headed to bed as it is late and dd just dragged herself in :0) lol she likes to go thats for sure, buit oh my with gas being so high i am suprised she does as much as she does. oh well is her money hehehehe. well until tomorrow my friends big hugggers to you all:)

my thursday

today was pretty good, was warm today, about 85 or so, perfect weather for putting the coating on the patio roof, which hubby not i did lol, we did it last year and it worked so well and the patio didn't leak that we spent the 100.00 for the darn coating and he put it on today, will touch it up tomorrow. i cleaned house most of the day. also been crocheting alot. finished a purse for work which will try and get dd to take a pic of, also am making a bathing suit for a friend. hopefully it will turn out. never made a bathing suit before lol, but so far looks good and of course will have to line the cups and also the bottom. again which should not be a problem. we bbq'd again tonight. last night we made a rump roast on the rotiserary, and tomorrow am going to make a garlic and onion pork loin on the rotesirary, tonight we grilled tri tip steak with yykon gold potatoes and salad and tomatoes out of our garden. was so good. not much left , but had to save some for dd. speaking of which she had better get her rear end home. i am tired and want to go to bed and . after work she went to a friends house and is now 1 :22 am and she needs to head home, just talked to her and she said she is coming. she better if ya know what i mean. will have to give her a tickle death. thats where i pin her down and tickle her till she says uncle lOL i am such a stinker lol.
omgosh my tomato plants are now over 7 feet tall and still growing. and oh man are we getting tomatoes. bumper crop.
tomorrow is suppose to be nice too and i want to go somewhere so bad. need to get out of this house, i know i am spoiled but i enjoy this part of the summer. when hubby is back at work the time is not the same. it takes forever before he wants to go anyplace guess cause he is to tired from work. poor guy.
i am so excited with these new meds i have, it makes me feel like i have a new life, the pain is still there but is managable now. i can deal with it without feeling like i am half dead and more than that, it is just a feeling of freedom. i can not describe how much better i feel,. is like a miracle for those of you who have been praying for me thank you, i think we found a answer to some of the pain at least. i know there will be days when i don't want to get out of bed as the winter comes in, but at least i feel like i have a life so to my wonderful doctor i say thank you:)
not sure what we are going to be doing on labor day. what are you guys up to, any plans? going camping or ???? tell me please so i may envy you lol hehehehe, just kidding. well until tomorrow my friends hugggggs

pain meds work great

today was a suprise for me. i started my new meds yesterday and they had worked pretty good, but still had a lot of pain, well this morning when i woke up, i did not have the pain i normally have. these meds work for me so awesome. is like getting a brand new life for me. i am so excited and can not wait for tomorrow to come. today i worked on my poncho but am not happy with it, so have decided to frog the whole thing and start over. is a hard thing to do, but must be done so am going to do that tomorrow. wooohoooo i so love frogging NOT!!!!!!!!!i am thinking about making some other things soon too, am just getting tired of the shawls and ponchos for a while now. maybe later this fall when i teach my class i will have students who will take the class. i need to make a list of things i want to make for others for christmas and what ever holiday they celebrate. i know there is some people who don't celebrate christmas and i so respect them for that.
today started out cold and cloudy. but got nice as the day went on.
well i talked to donna(yarn tomato) about how we would like to make a online baby shower for her and she was so thrilled with the idea. said we didn't have to do that of course, but ya know what, i want to make this as special for her so i can. so if anyone of ya wants to make her somethin, i asked her to make a list of the things she wants and needs and she said she would very soon. well am off to bed now as i am sleeping lol, till tomorrow then huggggggggggssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

thank god for my doctor

today went back to the doctor as i was hurting so bad could hardly stand it, and thank you jesus, he gave me a new pain med that seems to help me a bit more. still early but the results look good. yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, i am tired of hurting so this is something i am really happy about.
been buse crocheting also. made more shawls and ponchos as i am trying to get enough for next year at the farmers market. hopefully they will still be in style LOL was a fair day here today, thought it was going to rain for a while but the sun came out and was nice. here are some more pictures i thought you might enjoy, until tomorrow hugggggs

my saturday

today was a typical saturday. got up, fed the fur babies(itsy about jumped into my arms LOL) and then went back to bed till my meds started working. then got up about a hour later and cleaned the house a bit, did some laundry listened to my kids being dorks. and then hubby and i decided to go for a ride as we both have cabin fever. so off we went and was a nice drive. drove down through puyallup which is a small city not to far from here and then along the river to tacoma, then we just sorta wandered around the mall for a while and then decided we were hungry and came home. i asked hubby what he wanted for dinner as this is the month i am trying to use as much of my meats up before buying any if possible. as it does 2 things. 1. the food gets eaten, the freezer gets cleaned out and hubby is happy.
2. we save money as i buy my meats in bulk, and about 3 times a year the stores around here have a really good sale on t-bone steaks and stuff so i ususally buy about 16 of them or more if it is really cheap or is close to a payday. this time i bought 150.00 worth of steaks and we have been enjoying them all summer.as they were only 4.00 a pound and nice steaks you can imagine i got quite a few., so anyways we decided to bbq the t-bones as that was what he was hungry for and then i also made yukon gold sliced potatos with herbs and garlic(no vampires around here LOL) and we had a salad with v
eggies out of our garden. omg the tomato plants are over 6' tall. hubby is 6'4" and he is shorter than the tallest one. i took some more pics and when son uploades them on the scan disk i can put them on my computer and show you. the plants are so heavy with fruit that i had to pound stakes in the ground that are like a 1x1 long piece of wood. you should see me out there pounding, my neighbor goes what are you builing tomatos? he thinks he is funny NOT!!!!!!
worked on a special project i am making anne(cajunwhacko) and hope to finish that maybe tomorrow or the next day. hey annie, i hope ya like green LOL. and also made a few more ornaments for the swap this year on the ville'

i need to seriously clean my craft room up this next week if it is a bit cooler. if not will wait until it is as our house gets HOT when it is over 80 outside and then i get sick. i can handle the heat , but the humidity is more than i can bear.
am thinking of things i want to make for christmas presents. have any of you decided what your making and for who come on share and give me ideas lol, just kidding but would love to hear what your going to do. i try and make on average about 85% of my gifts. we have a huge family so mostly i just make things and give them as if had to pay out the prices that the stuff i make would go for i could never afford it.
well is almost 3 am and am getting sleepy so am off to dream land. till tomorrow my friends huggggggs

today thank goodness was friday, which means my friends my hubby only has 1 more week of vacation WOOOOOHOOOOOOOO, he has a month off EVerY year and believe me by the time the end of august roles around i am going startk raving looney tunes. LOL, we sure have not done much either. i so wanted to go to the beach, seattle, maybe a little farther, but doubtful i will get to do anything as hubby has been not feeling well, he had chest pains for almost a week before i finally convinced him to go to the doc in a box, and then the stupid doc tells him oh your heart is fine(which is awesome0 and then tells him it is muscle and get this, gives him a nausea/anti anxiety pill. he is still having alot of pain and am trying to get him to just go to the er room so the docs there can find out what is causing this although i have a really sneaky feeling it was when he picked up the 50 lb bag of bird seed with his left hand instead of properly lifting and probably pulled his pectorial muscle. my hubby is 6'4" and weighs in about 250,and he is really strong so he don't understand how he could pull a muscle over a "measly 50 lbs'!!!! he forgets he is no spring chicken anymore lol.
well i finished another shawl another green one, am almost out of the boucle' and since payday is well over a week away, have been making other things with my other yarn which i have enough to choke a small elephant or a rhino maybe. serisouly i have this huge room stuffed full from floor to ceiling with huge boxes of yarn. i need to clean it out and give some more yarn away.:( lol tonight we grilled new york steak with garlic and mushrooms and had french fries (cause i was lazy hehe) and a nice salad using veggies out of our garden. today was a nice warm sunny day, thank god it was, i so hate the darn rain and cold and am trying to store up these days in my memory for when oct.,nov, and dec. 3 very rainy (normally) stormy, cold months. ickkkkk maybe my neighbors will let me live with them for the 6 months they are down in arizona LOL doubt it though hehehe. well until tomorrow my friends hugggggs

the sun came out today

wooohoo, the sun is back, yesterday was a depressing day except for my wonderful suprise from heather. i love that tea pot. my neighbor came over today and she fell in love with it too,(she also collects teapots) for dinner tonight i decided to grill again as it was warm in the house. i made garlic/herb grilled chicken, roasted red potatos, and corn on the cob, was a good dinner and i ate to much as usual. well maybe tomorrow will get to do something. hubby is feeling a bit better he said(at least right now) and we might head to the beach, maybe is the weekend so am not sure as it gets really pricey there on weekends.. i have been crocheting a lot. have made more ponchos, shawls, and am working on a purse for work, (i teach people how to crochet for those of you who don't know) and this is my sample project. is pretty and made out of velour and also lions brand homespun. is a awesome red/white and blue hehehe. i am very patriotic., also am making little christmas ornaments for the ornament swap and also to give for gifts at christmas this year. speaking of christmas, do you know that there is only 130 days till christmas. eeeeeeekkkkkkk LOL, got ya didn't i hehehe but i am sure it will go fast. i plan on making most of my gifts this year again. i enjoy it and this way i can afford to give nicer things. so my fingers are flying LOL. itsy today cracked me up. my son was teasing her again with the hose and she jumped right up and got in his face and arched her little back and hissed at him, i about fell over cause she had figured it out he was teasing her and she was mad. then she jumped up on our swing we have on the patio, and procedeed to rock herself to sleep. she kept moving till she got it swinging back and forth and then layed down and fell asleep, she is my little love can you all tell ? LOL, well till tomorrow i wish you all health, happiness, and most of all huggggggs

well today was much cooler

thank goodness, i thought i was going to die it was so hot this last few days. tonight the weather guys say RAIN, which i am so not happy about it. cause the roads now will be slick as heck. i finished another shawl last night and then also another poncho tonight. using the sesations rainbow boucle', in the pinks and whites. i so love that yarn.. i am making a blue one now. i need to seriously make soemthing else lol. been making ornaments too. not saying what as they are for the ornament exchange on crochetville. well i hope ya all have had a great summer, seems like it is almost over here. darn it. i am hoping that sun will come back. my garden still needs sunshine. the tomatos have been so yummy and am still am waiting for the beans to grow. darn it i knew i should have gotten my garden in sooner. the problem with me is that my back keeps me from doing anything major, it has been bad this last few weeks , but go back to the doc next monday and hopefully will change my meds as these so do not work anymore. living in pain sucks believe me. till tomorrow my friends. huggggs

i hate mondays

today was not a good day. have been battling a headache along with my back killing me all weekend, and to start the week off with it just is no fun. hubby says i should go back to the doc, what for they don't do anything. today was hot again. almost 90 again, tomorrow is suppose to bring blessed relief. so far this vacation we have done hardly anything. hubby has been having chest pains and finally convinced him to go to the doc, so yesterday off we went to the doc in a box(general medical clinic) doc says isn't his heart, he must have strained or pulled his pectorial muscle. so needless to say he is grouchy, grumpy and acting like a big baby. tonight finally told him to grow up, here i am trying to battle my own pain and he wants me to wait on him hand and foot, so not going to happen. can ya all tell i am in a bad mood? men drive me crazy, my dear son is not quite as bad but bad enough i yell everytime these guys get sick. daughter has been working, but she also has been helping me which i greatly appreciate. she did my dishes yesterday without me even asking. so smilies for kristy. i finished another shawl yesterday and also a couple of ponchos am really going strong Lol, also been working on my ornaments for the swap on crochetville. is going to be so much fun. oh today i got a wonderful postcard from kimberly in belgium, boy did that cheer me up. the rest of the day sucked but that was a bright note. well am off to bed and hope tomorrow will be better. one never knows does one. take care and huggggggs

good news

today auntie called me and said the cancer doc said they the docs who said the cancer was the very agressive kind and hard to treat were wrong, her tumor is about 1 cm in size and she is going to have a lumphecotomy and radiation only in the area where the tumor is at. this is awesome news. thanks so much for all your prayers you guys are the best huggggggs

day 13 of hubbys vacation

well today was day 13. we went for a nice drive up to mt. rainier. didn't go all the way up the mountain as i just can not hike anymore, but did enjoy the ride. we had so many plans to do stuff this vacation, but with gs being so high have decided to not do much. i am dissapointed, but i understand. gosh we are paying over 2.60 a gallon here. and thats regular. i hate to see what it is going to cost me to put gas in my t-bird cause it is a v-8. probably not the mose economical for us, but i do love my car, . today was chilly out and made pasta for dinner. felt wierd cooking in the house, we have bbq'd almost every day since july. tonight the meteor showers are suppose to start(we have these every year) but is cloudy so can't see them darn it. am working on another shawl. is really more of a sarong, i am using some light weight boucle' that i bought from rodney on e-bay(deneen you don't know what you did when you told me about him LOL) is very pretty and will post pictures as soon as possible. also am working on a green poncho using the same yarn i used for the shawl with the rainbow boucle'. i need to make a trip to the store and see what other colors they have. dd is not saying cause she says mom, you don't need any more yarn LOL. she is right, but that has never stopped me before LOL.

i am mad at blogger, i can't get any pics to come up so here is the site which will tell you about the 3 different kinds of spiders we killed today. it is
www.everythingabout.net. click on the the title, everything about arachnids and then click on black widow , brown recluse, and wolf spiders. has a ton of info about them and shows how dangerous they really are. needless to say. next time my ds comes and says there is a huge spider on the wall i will believe him. we get these wolf spiders coming in when it starts heading towards fall and like today was warm, but not hot outside and tonight is actually cold. down in the upper 40's in august whats up with that. i think we are going to have a early fall and winter. (sob sob sob, as i sit here crying ) i hate winter and fall isn't much better lol. thew biggest wolfspider we ever killed was over 4 inches across, i am not kidding or lying to you, is the honest to god truth it was HUGE, it was climbing the outside of the house last summer about this time and since we had candles burning and was just sitting outside we saw it and hubby killed it. took several times of squishing to actually kill it too. as i sit here and am now getting goosebumps am going to say goodnight lol hugggggggs

i hate spiders

today son went out in the rec room to get something and came back and said there was this huge spider on the wall(why he didn't just kill it is beyond me but thats a man for ya LOL jk hehehe, so anyways hubby says to me lets go see what he is talking about. our kitties sleep in there and we don't want anything to happen to them, well when we got out there we found these spiders (well it don't want to post darn blogger anyways.) well what we found was 4 wolf spiders as big as silver dollars on the walls of the rec room, and when we moved a couple of things hubby says don't move, i am like oh oh now what (since my life has been so calm and all lately ya know rotfl lmao) and i looked and there was a black widow spider. big one too. i was like OMGosh, so hubby squished it, and i told him if there is one there is more, we found 4 more wolf spiders and 6 black widows and a brown recluse. all poisonios except the wolf spider, but its bite hurts like hell, i know one bit me last winter. so will try and post again the pictures so you can see, but needless to say i hope i don't have nightmares of spiders crawling all over me can anyone say arachniaphobia LOL thats me for sure i absoloutly HATE spiders with a passion and will wipe them out faster than you can say the dreaded word ~~~~~ spider~~~~~ lol it took us a while but we wiped all the nests out and cleaned it all up good. darn things like it cause that room gets full sun and is warm most of the time even in winter. yikes what am i saying ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww LOL take care all huggggggs

i can not believe what i did today

today i was picking blackberries to make a yummy blackberry cobbler as i have been so hungry for it. well as i was picking them i reached for one and lost my balance and fell hitting my back and rear on a cement block, then twisted around and hit my head on the woodpile, and what broke my fall was these huge blackberry canes that had stickers from hell on them, my poor body is all scratched and bruised up, i called for help for 5 mintues. no one came except for my kitty "baby" she wanted to make sure her mama was alright) and i struggled to get up finally making it after at least 10 minutes finally acheiving success, and then tripped and spilled all of my berries on the ground. while you think why not just pick them up, i did with the ones i could do as the thing is they were reallly ripe and juicy and when they hit the ground they squished. i was able to save enough for cobbler, but now am not hungry for it LOL, hubby keeps bugging me saying he wants to take me to emergency, i said for what, they won't do anything. so today am NOT in a good mood lOL was a site believe me. never again,. next time the darn kids can pick the berries LOL hugggggs

prayers needed please

i just found out my wonderful auntie has breast cancer, i need all your prayers for her. the doctors are not encouraged as it seems to be a very agressive form and hard to treat. so now we need the prayer brigade going. her name is bonnie and she is 75 years young. thank you everyone for doing this for her and me, i love her so much, she is so much more than a auntie to me, i love her like she is my mother, in fact she practicly raised me so am very close to her. thanks again everyone. huggggggs
