my class went well

finished my class today, and i can tell you my students rock, the did awesome, finished a tote bag and had the lining all ready to put in and was just so nice., this after noon worked with hubby to put a door on our patio because things keep disapearing out of there. so now have to not only keep the door closed, we will have to keep it locked. is a sad sad world..
on another note, got my packages sent off to someone special. i hope she likes what i made her lol i have found that while there is always someone trying to cause trouble, on the whole i have found a lot of new and good friends on crochetville.org,i love talking to them and comparing what we all are making, also found a few who don't live to far from me. maybe someday we can get together and meet and have lunch or something.
i am almost done with my shrug, but have decided that i want to alter it a bit, while it is suppose to be short in the bottom, is a bit to short for me, so have decided to make a little "skirt" on the top.

tonight hubby asked me what i wanted to do for my birthday which is saturday the 1st. i told him, suprise me lol he is talking about maybe going away for the weekend , but since money is tight this month(boy is it) i thin would be better if we just stayed home. if he wants to make me a nice dinner that would be awesome, as while i love to cook, i do not want to on my special day lol.


tomorrow is suppose to rain like heck, oh joy, just what i do not want to see.we have been lucky so far with the weather this year, that while i understand why, i want it to be nice all the time. i know we need it though so am trying to make people understand. is like a losing battle lol hugggggs to all of you i am off to bed and some good sleep . hopefully tomorrow i will make more sense LOL. good night all

what are you making

i was wondering what you guys were making right now, i am almost done with a shrug i am making. finised another poncho which i am sending to a special friend in california, and just bought the yarn to make more of it. in fact, i gave myself a early birthday present. my b-day is sat and i thought why not when i found some yarn i was looking at on e-bay and is from rodneys specialty yarns. this guy is amamzing, i am floored by how cheap his yarns cost as it is such a great bargain, i have deneen to thank for his name and i am very greatful for it, also another seller i buy from is fiberoptions, memc82 i think her name is. and the last one i buy from on a reg bases is johns trading post.i figure for what it cost me for yarn . then i can sell the things i make for a more reasonable amount and people will be more tending to buy them. this is a picture of the yarns i am getting from him . i hope ya all have a great week and will talk with you soon as i am exhausted. hugggggggs well looks like no pics right now as blogger is having troubles. so maybe tomorrow, anyways you all take care and hugggggs

why does this keep happening

my dd called me yesterday after noon in tears, some one hit her car AGAIN, in the same parking lot and they took off too, what they did was mess up her car even more than it was. dented the nose end and also the license plate, cracked the air dam underneeth it, and messed up more of her paint. on the bright side , i had not gotten around to getting it fixed so now can just do it and not worry about this time.what she damaged had to be replaced anyways so is not a big deal i guess
it just makes me mad when people are so stupid. k enough ranting lol

finished another green poncho and am sending to a special friend who needs a lift right now. i also tonight was a verrrry bad girl, well not tooo bad cause after all it is my b-day present to myself. but i bought more yarn from rodney, i got more of the green yarn, and also some blackberry chenille, and also a beauitful tropical pink from him. was not to bad a price either as it cost more than that for skeins of ounces, not cones of pounds. i bought over 12 pounds of yarn tonight.


not sure what i am going to do later today(tuesday) is really my only day without having to do anything. wensday have class, thursday is the dentist and friday glory be to jesus, payday woooohooooo,
i talked to my poor auntie today and she is in such pain and discomfort it breaks my heart. if ya all want to say some prayers for her would be greatly appreatiated.
today went to pet smart and got the kitties some more food, the cans were on sale for a quarter and thats about 8 cents less than they ususally are so bought 2 cases. i visited with the animals that are up for adoption and i wish i could have taken them all home with me, beautiful wonderful kitties. makes me sad that they do not have a home. hopefully some one will adopt them all.


i am working on a shrug right now too, is made of navy blue soft chenille, which i am not sure what i am going to do with it. maybe use it as a gift or sell it or not sure what to do, what would you do, if you had a little shrug that you adored would you sell it. or would you keep it for yourself. i am undecided. please give me your input. is still nice outside and i enjoy the sun, but the weather is changing, suppose to rain thursday and friday and worse yet saturday. hubby wants to take me out to dinner for my birthday. but dd has to work, so not sure what we are going to do. one thing i know is i will NOT be cooking lol well is late and i am tired and dd just got home from the green day concert. she enjoyed it alot and now mom can go to bed. i don't sleep anyways knowing she is out so i figured i would just post here. but since she is home i will say good night sleep tight lol huggggggggs

the end of the garden

tonight it came time to glean the rest of the beans out of the bean plant, then i it was time to pull the plants out which while for some mean nothing, what it means to me is that summer is over, fall is here, and that winter is not far behind. i realllllly do not like winter .mostly because well i don't lol sure it is nice to watch snow falling quietly down from the sky, but then when you have to drive in it,is another story. speaking of driving , today this moron in this ford f350 1 ton truck almost rear ended me, the car ahead of me slowed down to turn, and then exucuted the turn, well i had slowed way down as i knew other wise it would be a bad situation,. well as i slowed down, this huge truck came right up behind me,almost hittin me by about 1/2 inch. well something or one told me to look behind me and saw that he almost hit me and that it could be a terrible accident and we would have been hurt again. so when i saw him so close i stepped on the gas as if i had not he would have hit me moron drivers abound in my area. well until tomorrow, i am tired and need to go to bed, take care my wonderful friends huggggggs to you

who is smarter lol

today my dd and i took our cat baby to the vet for her check up. let me tell you, that was one ticked off cat. she yowlled, scratched, tried to get out of the carrier, all because she knew she was going some place she did not want to be. but the vet said she was in awesome shape and that she is going strong for a 10 year old cat. she then sat as calm as can be while the vet examined her, gave her her shots. petted her and she was then much calmer. i know is hard for the animals to understand, but they have to be protected same as a child needs their immunizations. well she came out the victor though as i have a nasty scratch on my neck and a couple of good ones on my arm, but i cleaned them up and am not mad at her' well to all you furbabies lovers i hope that you have a great weekend and lots of fun this last weekend in sept. hugggggs

well baby is pretty smart

my cat baby was suppose to go and have her shots today, well since baby is over 10 now and been around long enough to know when something is going on, she took one look at my dd today, ate her food stuck her tail straight up in the air and went next door to see her friend and buddy my neighbor. lol well needless to say, tomorrow we will try again lol, it is amazing to me how smart our fur babies are. she knew when coast and itsy came home yesterday where they had been, she knows the name vet too so when we talk about it we have to do it like this v-e-t (spell it lol) but she is going to get them wether or not she wants to. is no different than when i took the kids in for their vaccinations.

working now on a really pretty nave blue chenille shrug. is so darn cute too, think i might give it to dd for christmas along with a matching purse and hat. speaking of christmas, i am trying to get as many gifts made as possible as money is very tight this year and i just can not afford to give to all the kids. i love to do it, but is to many to do with now. but if i can at least make them a little something at least they will have something to enjoy might also make my niece kate a shrug, she is off to college now her first year and she is all excited. my poor sis and the little ones miss her . but she is 18 and wants to go to school and be on her own. i am glad my kids did not do that as i could not have afforded it. at least with them living at home, defiently cut the cost of tuituion.which is high enough thank you, lol

tonight picked more tomatoes and a whole bunch of green beans. omg they are sooooo good, we will have them this weekend when we bbq.not sure what we are doing though. hubby said to me yesterday, not this weekend but next he wanted to go hang out with the guys. i said well thanks alot as next weekend is my birthday so he is not hanging out with the guys he can hang out with me lol well until tomorrow as i nod off into dream land. got up early again today :0( lol take care and make time to crochet hugggs to all of you my friends.

itsy's first visit to the vet

today my daughter and i took itsy to the vets for the first time to get her started on her shots and also to see aproximently how old she is. well i have to tell you that cat is hilarious, when the dr came in she was all purrs, then when he started doing those things vets do to kitties she started getting a bit upset, she still seemed to be saying its alright, well when he gave her the first of her 3 shots she started growling and meowing at him, hissing and what not, like she was saying hey leave me alone jerk, then as he was going to give her the 2nd shot he patted her on the head and scratched it for her, she started purring again, so he gave her the shot, in the amount of time it took him to give her the 3 shots she growled and hissed, purred, growled, hissed, purred till i thought i was going to die laughing, she was hiss, growl, then purr in about the amount of time it would take you to blink your eye. was the cutest thing i ever saw. also took coast in as he had not had shots before either and needed them too i think, even though they cost me a lot of money and more tomorrorw as we are taking baby in for her boosters, i feel it is a necasary part of being a responsible pet owner. although these little guys are much more than pets to me, they are part of the family, sometimes i think itsy thinks i am her mother, she loves to chew on my fingers, not hard most of the time, and sometimes she gets carried away and i say no bite, kisses please so then she gives me kitty kisses, she likes to do that. last sunday i went out side and layed down on our lawn swing was a warm day and i fell asleep, i awoke to find itsy kissing my face, talk about kitty breath lol my hubby about died laughing, it was pretty funny but oh did she have bad breath. she had just eaten some tuna a bit before so here was this little buddle of energy kissing her mama with tuna breath ick ick ick lol

today i also taught my class, i must say i am very proud of this student i had, is one of the same ones i had last week, and she has progressed from not being able to read a pattern, not knowing how to do anything but make a chain, to being able to make a giant granny square which she is going to make into a purse or tote bag, me i would go tote bag, but then i don't care for big purses, just more space for me to stuff my junk in lol but she did awesome and i am happy she has not only learned how to crochet but also enjoy it. is such a wonderful feeling when they say thank you, i did stay a bit longer than the class time, but i wanted her to finish the front as i thought she might have questions which she did so it was a good thing. i am not the kind of teacher that lets the clock rule. today i stayed about 15, 20 mintues, not a huge amount for me and made all the difference to her.


tonight had a nice time in chat, talked to several nice people . i feel bad for donna (buggsaboosmommy) must be hard for her, here is a hug for ya sweetie. i will be working on those socks lol.

i also found out today auntie and cousin are doing a bit better, they have had such a hard time this year, this trip was suppose to be a fun relaxing thing and it almost destroyed them because of a drunk driver. RANT COMING!!!!! i have nothing against people who drink, is a personal preferance, but the ones i do not have anything but loathing for is the people who choose to take a chance and many times cause terrible accidents that leave people forever damaged, while the drunk walks away. is such a sad thing to think people have no respect or care that they could hurt or kill someone. k enough rant thanks for reading it though LOL


i need to get busy making the projects for oct. and nov/dec classes. i think some of them are nice but there is one which i am not happy about having to do, corp wants me to make a afghan out of snow flakes , and the yarn they want me to use is like 6$ a skein,and the afghan takes 10 thats 60 dollars just for supplies, so for someone to take that class would cost over 100.00 and we are not going to have many sign up i can guarentee. i talked to my boss and she said that if i wanted to , i only needed to make a few squares and make like a lap robe or even just a small sample. now that i don't mind. afghans and i are old friends, but we both need more excitement lol i don't like making them much any more as i get so bored. i saw some things i would like to make myself or dd when i get the time to crochet for me.


well is late and my eyes are closing , hardly awake at all. lol so until tomorrow, my friends i wish you health, happiness and most of all crochet time lol huggggggggs

today was much better

today things happened that i am so glad about. we all know what i am talking about so am not going to go into details and rehash it all out, the thing i have learned from all of this is to keep my big mouth SHUT!!!! k enough said. today i cleaned house ick ick ick, and worked on a bit of a scarf for my kids class, but is so boring i quit. hehehe. corp wants me to make a flower pillow so guess that will be my next project for them. i am trying to figure out what to make for christmas presents too, my sisters are all going to get shawls, along with my mother., my brother i am thinking about making him some hotpads as he is always burning himself. hubby and kids i am not sure of,. there is some projects i would like to make but i really don't have the time right now. tomorrow have to take itsy and coast into the vet to get their shots and to also find out when we can have itsy spayed. she is not going to like it one bit poor little girl, but needs to be done as we don't need a kitten having kittens and is the right thing to do for her. my daughter is doing a little better after falling down those darn steps at her friends house. she is still limping around but is still going out so must feel better i think lol, that girl is gone more than i can count on 2 hands and 2 feet. oh to be 21 and free again, although i don't know if i would like to do that again, how about you guys would you like to be young again(if your older like me that is lol) next saturday not the one coming is my 49th birthday and i already am dreading the big 50 i told my dear darling husband if he pulls any stunts i am going to kick him in the butt, he did not want any fuss being made about his and i feel the same way lol.well am off to bed as i need to get up early and take the kittys in before i go to work, i have a class tomorrow and while it is only one student this time is going to be fun, she took my beginner class and is now ready to move on to new things i invited her to join us at crochetville. hope she does she is a really nice lady. i love teaching people to crochet. is so awesome when they ''get" it lol well until tomorrow for those of you who are in the florida keys and farther north keep safe and for those in the path of the storm i pray that you too will stay safe, please do not stay just for your homes, your life is worth much more. till later stay safe and have fun crocheting hugggggs

i am so tired

gosh i can not believe how tired i am. today has been so hectic, i found out tonight that my auntie and cousin had been in a bad car accident, they were hit head on by a woman who hd fallen asleep, trouble was she was going over 70 mph. and my aunt and cousin were in a suv which saved their lives, totalled my cousins car of course and now the ins co. is giving her crap about how they don't have to cover it , it seems that it never ends, i also found out that my mother has 2 spots on her lung that the doctor thinks is cancer. i am glad i did what i did in regard to the other matter and am now letting it go. i know i said i was not going to post anymore lol, just right now i feel better about doing what i did. k enough said lol. today i worked on some things i have been wanting to make, i am making a evening purse which is almost done and also am making a wrap out of the coolest yarn, is like silk is so soft and slippery LOL, will make a beautiful wrap for someone. not me of course as i don't really go anywhere anymore, oh we go small places but is so expensive that we tend to stay as close to home as possible. tomorrow am going to take our kittys in for their shots, well at least 2 of them tomorrow and the other one on wend or thursday. $$$$ but i have to do it. is the right thing to do for them, and itsy is not going to be a happy kitty as soon as she is old enough she is going to be fixed, do not want any kittens running around. well i am tired, its been a long day. i hope ya all have a good tomorrow huggggs

more things done

today i finished more things i am making to take to the farmers market, i made another purse, a shawl,which is a pretty blue by the way hehehe, and i am also making things for the ornament exchange.. i have a question for you all who care to answer. if you could have just 1 christmas ornament. what would you choose, a angel, a snowman, or a butterfly and why. these are the 3 ornaments i am currently making. i was reading someone else's blog today and she sounds so excited about the exchange and has been busy , far busier than me even lol so hope your all looking forward to the exchange and that it is going to be a fun thing. i love to help people and also give gifts. we all enjoy getting them i would think(at least i do) and i am happy to say i will be able to grant some wishes for my friends on the ville'. well thats about it for now. am off to work on my christmas ornaments. hehehehe to my friends i send huggggggggs

see last post lol, today was awesome , we had a wonderful party, the sun came out and shined so nice and warm, a nice thing since the rest of the week is suppose to be cool. my hubby fixed the grill and it seems just fine, course the other one did too, so time will tell. anyways we all enjoyed our end of summer party and since most people don't really celebrate it we had some wierd comments. while i am not a big fan of fall and winter, i know they have their seasons and that the weather change is a normal function, BUT I STILL HATE IT LOL, i need to move to a warmer climate. lol but anyways the kids all had fun, we played some yard games like bad mitten and also volleyball, well i didn't obviously, but i was cooking anyways. we are thinking about making this a monthly thing with each others houses of course so no one person gets stuck doing it all the time. lol,
i finished my green poncho, omg it turned out so nice. is a really pretty emerald green chenille and right now i am making a purse to match. i also am making another purse, but this one is a bit fancier. am making it in black chenille and lurex thread combined, and then when i finish it i will add some beads to it, also plan on lining it. i am thankful that i have been able to get some crocheting done as things have been so hectic here. . .
other news, i a happy to say my dear daughter who fell down a flight of stairs is getting better. she actually was able to walk on her leg all day today. we were blessed that she had not been hurt worse.
the next thing i am thinking about making is a afghan for work. corp. wants me to make a snow flake afaghan using the suede yarn. can they read my lips. NO WAY, they want me to pay for it and still teach the class. i can tell you right now if we have to use that yarn no one is even going to take the class as it would cost them over 100.00 just to make the afghan, which would be the cost of the yarn and also the class. speaking of classes, i have another one this week, and also the following week. looks like it is picking up once again well to those of you who truly are my friends huggggs

today i got the last of the yarn i had bought off of e-bay. omgosh i got some great yarn at a awesome price. i bought some chenille in black, navy blue,white, and apple green which i finished the poncho i was making out of it tonight is soooooooooooo pretty will post a pic when i can get to borrow dd's camera, i really need to get myself a digital camera one of these days :)anyways i also bought some thin yarn that is like a zigzag yarn, has little loops on it. man was that a awesome bargain. i got 2 huge and i mean HUGE cones of this yarn for 5.00 including shipping. this seller was also based in hawaii so i was suprised that it was so little , but hey i am not complainging. also because i had bought enough yarn from this one seller (rodneys specialty yarns) he included a nice size cone of like a cinnamon color chennille yarn. hey he ROCKS, free yarn on top of the good prices. the other i got from melanie at fiber options. she has some awesome yarns too, and yesterday i was able to get that yarn on clearance at artco so i am set now for a while LOL i was set before as i have enough yarn to open my own store up.LOL hubby actually told me that if we won the big jackpot(hey we can dream right) he thinks i should open a craft/yarn store and then "i could sell all of my cool stuff on there"(his words) today was not bad it rained part of the day and was a bit chilly but then fall is coming. i had a awesome suprise this morning. i don't know if i mentioned it or not before but the bbq i had bought my hubby for our 25thhad a recall. well first the guy told me would be about 2 weeks. i told him in washington state we only had about 2 weeks left before the weather turned bad. he said he was going to over night the part to us, but would probably still be monday or tuesday, well this morning at 9 oclock(i thought i was dreaming) the ups guy rang my doorbell and left the part so tomorrow we can have our end of summer party we were planning with the original menu. will be lots of fun i know. well until tomorrow my friends i wish you health happiness and peace. oh and unlimited crochet time hehehehe hugggggggggggggggs

today i went to the dentist . he prepped my tooth for a crown and while it did not hurt then is hurting now. when i came out i decided i was a good girl and needed a treat. so i went to a yarn shop and bought myself some new yarn lol i got 5 skeins of a yarn called katia granada yarn, is like a silky ribbon yarn and the other yarn i bought was called fizz by crystal palace. i am planning on making myself a shawl with the granada yarn. it is kind of fancy for me , but i figure if hubby and i go out i might be able to use it.if not an always sell it. well am headed to bed as my back and neck hurt from being upside down for 2 hours and my mouth feels like someone punched me so till tomorrow hope your day is good. hugggggs

how was your day?

my day was good, i almost finished the green chenille poncho am making. i love this yarn is so awesome. i got it off of e-bay and is so nice and such a bargain. over 2 pounds of chenille yarn for 4.00. not bad huh? tomorrow have my crochet class. my students are such fast learners.
itsy today was such a wacko, she tried to climb up my leg, can we say OWWWWWW, i scolded her and she pouted, seriously pouted. lol she is my joy i love her to pieces as well as baby and coast. well until tomorrow, i wish you all good health happiness and most of all time to crochet huggggggs

today was fun

today i spent the day just messing around. went shopping at the mall, only bought one thing and am so proud of myself, and that was not even for me LOl i found a purse for my mil, she is going to love it hehehe. when i got home i found a package with some of the yarn i had orderd. was from rodney who i can tell you rocks. he included some extra yarn for free for me as a thank you, is this cool or what. i have already started making another poncho out of the green chennile. omg is beautiful. i love it. so soft and such a great deal, i bought this off of e-bay and was over 2 1/2 pounds and only 4.00. for the whole cone, and shipping was so not bad at all. i love buying from him as he is such a fair person and has such wonderful prices. quick shipper too lol. well am off to bed as tomorrow am going to be busy . hope you all have a wonderful week. enjoy and keep smiling :) huggggs

my weekend was fun

this weekend hubby and i went to the fair here in our town our fair is the western washingon state fair, was a wonderful day, not to many people, but just enough so that i could walk and not worry about someone hitting me or something. saw a lot of things, one being a doily made by lori carlson(homeborough) she did a awesome job, i will let her tell you how she did LOL. one of the things i could not believe was the amount of chiropractors who all wanted to give me a free spinal exam. i am like no thanks. i definetly did not need anyone messing around with my back, so politly told them no thank you. this one was very presistant, but i walked away. why make trouble when it was no big deal. after we left the fair went up to applebees and had lunch. i have to tell you it was the worst lunch i have ever had, i had a philly cheese steak and the meat was so dry i choked. also it tasted like it was turning bad so i told our server that it was not to good when she asked me about it. well i was pleasently suprised when they took the meal off of my bill. i do like going to applebees and that is one of the reasons. so i will go back , but doubt i will have the cheese steak again . after we left there we went down town to a place called the swiss, is a cool old hall, that was turned into a pub. i had a rootbear and hubby had a couple of beers. when we left there we went to a little place not to far from our house called the northwest coffee company, which is a combo coffee /bookstore/pub and we sat and had another drink(again i had a rootbeer) while hubby had a beer, heck it was 2.50 for each glass and that is cheap. while there the phone rang and it was a friend of ours, we told him come on down so he did and we ended up inviting him back to our house for a bbq last night. we enjoyed the meal and the company, but omg was i tired today. almost didn't get up hehehehehe, today i picked the rest of the bush beans, had enough of the beans today to have them for dinner, was very good, we had bbq'd steak, potatoes and fresh green . and for dessert i had ice cream. so was well fed this weekend LOL. am making another poncho like the ones in the 2 i had posted here a few days ago, this one however is made out of wiggles yarn . and i have to tell you that i am seriously in love with this pattern. i am going to submit it to crochet world for their poncho contest. it would be so awesome if i won, not just because of the money(150.00 prize) but also to see something that i designed in print for the world to see and use. would be such a cool thing i think. well am off to bed as i am still tired from the weekend. gosh we spent over 5 hours saturday at the fair. well until tomorrow my friends i send lots of big huggggggggssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

my class went well today

i taught my crochet class today at joanns, i had 2 students and they both already have learned to crochet. am i a good teacher or what LOL one of my students was getting so frustrated, she was going to leave and i asked her to stay and told her i would give her extra help after class. i think that suprised her and also my other student cause they both made a comment about oh wow you don't follow the clock, well i look at it this way. i don't because of 1 reason and 1 reason alone. if my student is struggling then when its time for them to work on their project and make progess before the next class, they won't period. so i figure it this way, so it takes a few more minutes to sit and explain the stiches to them again and again, well if i can not do that then i am in the wrong profession.
also took dd's car into the ins co place to get a guestimate, well seems that our little hit and runner has still not contacted her company and they have been trying to get ahold of her since last friday when i called. the man said we have to wait to verify that she is at fault, i gave him the case number and told him verify it with the police, i want to get my car fixed now not 3 weeks from now, and of course she will not have a car to drive , maybe if she is nice to her daddy he will let her borrow his for more than just work.hehehehe, we can get a rental car at her ins co expense. so we will not have to go completely without. hehehe,
and now for my crocheting, i finished another poncho, again my own design and need to finish the shawl i have been working on. am debating though, am thinking about putting beads on it with fringe, might look good, depends on how i feel, but am thinking since it is a suede that it would look awesome as i beaded shawl or poncho. will keep ya posted. missed not talking to my friends on crochetville tonight although amber came on and i enjoyed talking to her. she is such a sweet person. well until tomorrow cause i am falling asleep as i type(hey you can still read it right?!!!) take care my friends and hugggggs to all of you

well today i had to go back to the dentist as when he fixed my tooth last week, it was a bit high and seemed to be pressing on a nerve this weekend which about drove me through the roof lol after i got done there i went and drooled over some yarn at a place called artco. omg they have the most awesome of yarns. is like e-bay in one store, and as i was drooling i saw a flyer that said that if you brought a hat into the store, either knit or crocheted the store would give you a coupon for 5.00. which is enough to buy some of that yummmmmmy yarn Lol so next week when i have to go back to the dentist i will take a hat in and get my 5.00 off. hehehehe, i would have donated anyways as it is sort of like caps for kids type thing, is for people who are not as fortunet as i am. so am not going to make just one hat for the 5.00 coupon. no sir, am going to try and make about 5 or 6, and no i don;t get a coupon for each hat. only the first. also today was talking to my boss about how we could help the victims of hurricane katrina and we thought up a ways that anyone who crochets or knits can do. this year for the warm up america, we have decided that we are going to donate the blankets to the people of our own community. also we will be having a little "social" where you can make hats, scarves whatever. these folks coming here are not use to our weather here in washington state which gets kind of cold as many of you know. so that along with my other pet places to give this year will help any one that i can including myself,. i get such satisfaction from helping others. i still need to make some more animals as i have given all the ones i made away already to the police and fire departments. so am hoping to maybe get some done soon. and also was thinking, what about the children, maybe i could help them too, by making them a little lovey stuffed animal. i challenge anyone who is reading this to try and make a difference to someone less fortunet than yourself. even if it is something small, tonight i heard on the news about this mom who was so upset about the fact that there were tiny babies, and children who had nothing, not even clean diapers so she started accepting donations, last week, tomorrow 3 big semi trucks leave for the south. i think it is wonderful how people want to help. after all it could be us some day. there is no where in the country that is "disaster resistant" we here in washington face many disasters that could happen as i know other states do to. well enough of my ramblings. i hope ya all had a great weekend. i spent mine finishing up 2 ponchos i made , i designed the pattern myself and am going to try and get it published some where. would be awesome.am almost done with my coming home poncho for my class next week. i have a lady who has a friend who is going to sign up for my class as well as 2 people tomorrow. wooooohooooo yipeeeee LOL, till tomorrow my friends. hugggggs

my afghan quilt

hi i made this for my hubby for his birthday, think he will like it? was fun to make. i have a few others i also want to do so maybe will get them done soon, if not there is always next year. today was pretty good, placed with the cats and worked in my garden. picked and froze more beans they are going to be so tasty come winter, i also have corn i am going to freeze. veggies are so expensive in the winter and with just a little work i can have them for summer prices. we bbq'd tonight. had t-bone steaks that i got for 4.00 a pound. we also had golden roasted potatoes and green, yellow and purple , yes purple beans. and the funny thing with the purple ones is that when they are cooked they turn green LOL, this years garden has been great. will be posting pics soon of my HUGE tomatoes. 3 over 15 in wooohooo. well until tomorrow. hugggggs

today was better

today was better. hubby went to seattle with some friends to a festivle called bumpershoot. am wondering how many of you know the meaning of the word bumpershoot. well needless to say he had a great time, i would have probably gone, as invited to, but felt like i would not be able to walk all that way, not to mention the ride up. but i had a nice day anyways. my ds helped me clean house, we did laundry which needed to be done, also he vacuumed and helped me just with general cleaning. is looking quite nice now i might say LOL. today also picked more blackberries and thought about making a cobbler with them and the ones i had picked before which are in the freezer. also when i went to the store today i also got 5 different kinds of apples to make a yummmmmy pie. but then when i got home i started hurting so bad so i just didn't do it either, i am sooooooooooooooooo bad LOl
well maybe tomorrow. also last night picked this huge colender of beans . they were not just green ones the, but also purple and also yellow wax beans. and thats not counting the pole beans we planted. for some reason he did not think the pole beans would be good to grow and eat. omg was he wrong, we are going to have beans till we are blue in the face hehehehe.
been working on my poncho for work and also am making another shawl in a beautiful chennile that is like a rust color. i just love this yarn, is so nice. well i am falling asleep as i type so will catch ya all tomorrow.huggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggs to ya all. hope your weekend is loaded with lots of fun things to till tomorrow then goodnight

the estimate :(

today took dd's car into the body shop to see what kind of damage was done to it. well it seems that this womans little "oops" is going to cost her ins com almost 1000.00 and that is if there is not hidden damage which he said there more than likely will be. also what sucks is she is not going to have a car for 3 days and i know will want to use one of ours but i am not letting her drive my t-bird. cause it is a much bigger car than what she is use to, so hubby is going to have to let her use his car which i am not sure how that is going to go. but we an get a rental car probably, should be able to as it was not her fault in any way.
sooooooooooooo that means more hassle. oh fun yeee haw LOl, on the other hand i picked a whole huge colander of beans, we planted green, purple and yellow beans and so far have gotten a huge crop and there is still more out there. wooooohoooo, and now my pole beans are getting ready to bear so will have fresh beans probably until frost hits in oct. i also picked some HUGE tomatoes. i measured them i have 3 of them, and the first one was over 16 in around. a BIGGGG tomato, the next one was a bit smaller about 15 1/2 inches around lol and the "small one" was a mere 15 in around. man this year has been awesome for our garden. next year is going to be better. daughter and i went after we got the estimate and hung out together for a while, we had a good time went to a craft store of course ROTFL!!!!!! but i was a good girl and only bought a small amount of things hehehe well till tomorrow i send mega hugggs thanks for listening to me grumble you all have a wonderful vacation

it never stops

today was started with having to call ins company, last night dd came home and told us her car had been hit while it was parked in the parking lot at work. and the person who hit her left, didn't bother to even write a note at all. luckily there was a witness who wrote her licence plate down. i called the police last night and they came out. they were both suprised and happy to find we had a witness who was kind enough to get involved. so after getting all of our information last night he went saw the person who had hit her car. well she turned on the tears said she was sorry said she didn't know what to do blablabla, he gave her my phone number and she called me and said that she was so sorry she panicked didn't know what to do, ect. i said well why didn't you just leave a note. she says well i came into joanns(where dd works) and i looked around and didn't see anyone who looked like it could be there car. and so i left. i was like did you say anything to anyone at the front desk? she says i know i just left. i was like well did you think that was right? she says no i am sorry i just didn't think. so the police are filing a REPORT about it and said if it gets taken care of, what did i want to do, did i want to press charges or ???
i said well you do what you think is the best. he called me last night and said he is going to hold off on charginh her with hit and run because she was honest with him didn't deny hitting the car ect. i told her she needed to report it to her ins company. first thing this morning. well i called her company at 10:30 and she had not called yet. makes me so damn mad. but i have a claim number. i also called the witness back and thanked them very much for getting the information for me. well the girl who answered the phone had a different story than or hit and runner. she said she just left. didn't go in anywhere so she is lying to both me and the police so i am going to contact the police officer and tell him she was lying. it make me so mad. i was roaked today by deneen. i recieved a wonderful postcard from baltimore. your a sweetie. thanks soooo much you made my day. well am off to the auto body shop soon to get a estimate. wish me luck. lol till later then. hugggggs
